Crown Concepts is happy to welcome this very unique 1978 MG MGB to our inventory. The MGB had many changes over the years starting with the 1975 model year having polyurethane bumpers that added 5 inches to the car. During that same year MG lifted the car 1.5 inches to meet American bumper regulations. In 1976 larger sway bars were installed to help with the 1.5 inch lift. The MGB normally came with 1798cc 4 cylinder and that is where the similarities end with this MGB.

Lift up the hood and you will find a massive 5.0 liter Mustang V-8. This engine was used in the Mustangs from 1979-1993 and it is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. To support the power that this engine produces there is a Mustang front end under it to help you keep control of all this power. The 5.0 is just about the same weight as the 4 cylinder that came with the car due to the old engine being made of cast iron.

The interior has been completely replaced with tan leather. The fit and finish is perfect and it goes really well with the black dash. Within the new dash you will find new gauges that are easy to read and they go well with the original switch gear. The new and custom hard top keeps you out of the sun if you want it and fits really well. There is also a soft top if you want that true convertible feeling.

Overall this is a very unique car that is a one of a kind build. This car combines the charm of a British roadster with the power of an American muscle car. It is a fun to drive and something that will turn heads when people hear the roar of that 5.0 under the hood. Please call us today at 1-520-900-7586 or stop by our showroom , which is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST! We are ready to provide you with the Ultimate Buying Experience. Trades are welcome and creative financing options are available as well.
