1938 Chevrolet Sedan Custom
Back in the 30's the most expensive model for Chevrolet was the Master with the Master Deluxe being the highest tier level you could buy. This 38 decodes as a Master Deluxe Sedan and its great original looks was taken a step further by transforming it into a very cool Street Rod. The car really has a great look and stance so much so that pictures probably do not do it justice. The car is all steel except for the fenders and running boards which are fiberglass. It is painted in a very nice Red paint with a great set of flames running down each side. They are pinstriped with Blue and really look good. You can tell the paint is high quality not only by its look but the fact that the flames run into the door jambs as well. It is a pretty subtle detail but really stands out when you pop the doors. The body is totally shaved of any handles with the doors and trunk now being power operated. The trunk has also been modified to swing to the side which is pretty unique. The front bumper has been removed but the chrome rear bumper is still in place. All of the chrome from the grill to headlight rings are all in great shape. It has LED taillights and more modern headlights that incorporate turn signals into the lower portion. It also has a 3rd brake light in the rear window for extra visibility. Other nice exterior features include the billet side mirrors and working chrome windshield wipers. The car has a slight rake and rides on a set of Intro wheels (16" front/17" rear).
The car not only looks great, it runs great too. It has had the NSRA Safety 23 inspection which ensures that it is road worthy. That's not all though because the car regularly gets driven and recently took a 500 miles trip to a NSRA show with no problems. Under the 4 piece hood is a smooth running 350 V8 motor that has been fitted with finned valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, a chrome alternator, polished air compressor, and Weber carburetor. It has just been completely serviced and had fluids changed. The motor runs well and is combined with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and Nova 10 bolt rear end. It has a ladder bar suspension set up in back and a GM Independent IFS front with tubular a arms. It also has power brakes with discs up front and drums in rear. On the right rear fender is a flush recessed gas cap and under the rear is a 17 gallon poly tank. The car sounds good too with dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers.
The interior is nicely finished out in Gray Leather with dual power bucket seats up front. The dash plus a custom center console has been painted to match. The center console houses a ratchet B&M shifter, Pioneer AM/FM/CD/USB player and for that old school touch a CB radio. An underdash section was installed and is where you will find the Vintage AC controls and chrome vents. The rest of the dash has been kept very clean with only the White faced Autometer gauges and LED indicators for turn signals. The tilt column has been painted to match and is topped off with a LeCarra steering wheel. In addition to those power brakes and power seats some other luxury items include the power windows and it even has cruise control. The trunk of the car is nicely carpeted in Gray and houses a fire extinguisher and 4 channel Alpine amplifier.
This is a really solid nice Street Rod that was set up to be an excellent driver as well. It has been road tested and is ready for a new home. If you are in the market for a cool classic you can comfortably drive anywhere, this is one to put on your list.
This nice Street Rod could be yours for $41,500.00!
