1954 Austin-Healey Roadster for sale! This delightful 1954 Austin Healey 100/4 BN1L is featured in Spruce Green with green leather interior and painted wire wheels. The Austin Healey 100 began its history in 1951 following Donald Healey's trip to the USA. Healey planned to compete with the MG and the Jaguar XK with a good in-between car. It was named the '100' for its ability to reach 100 miles per hour. Power is provided by the well-developed 2.6L four cylinder motor from the Austin A90. A three-speed gearbox is mated to a Laycock electric overdrive for easy cruising. The Austin Healey 100/4 was presented at the 1952 London Motor Show and was an instant hit with the public by virtue of its elegance and refinement, without detracting from its sporty looks. Our car is a very correct older restoration. The details on the car such as the red fan and proper shift boot, indicate the authenticity. Compression is excellent, the gearbox and overdrive work properly, and the car is lively to drive. The lovely 100/4 will bring its new owner pride in both shows and touring.
