This is a factory set of gauges that look 100% correct like GM NOS but are reproduction. The redline on the tach is 6000. It comes assembled and will plug into your factory gauge harness. You must have a factory gauge dash harness for the correct plugs and for it to function properly. This complete assembly bolts up to your dash carrier assembly whether it had gauges or not. You can now replace your rusted old non- working gauges with these new gauges that look NOS. Perfect for an SS Super Sport 396/375 HP Yenko Copo.
We also carry a conversion gauge setup which looks similar to this one but is designed for a car that has idiot lamp or tell tale gauges (lights). It comes with a conversion harness and you reuse your factory original dash harness. Look at the gauge cluster listed as repo. This tach will work with factory GM points or factory HEI. It may need a tach adapter when using this on MSD or after market ignition.
Tachometers will work with factory GM points or factory HEI ignition. When using an aftermarket ignition system likes MSD, Accel, Patronix, ect. A lot of these systems generates higher output voltage to the tach lead than what a factory GM tach can handle. Factory GM tachs can operate on voltage ranging from 11.2 to 14.7 Most aftermarket ignition systems generate over 18 volts. You will need to buy from the manufacture of your ignition system an adapter to lower the voltage to the GM factory voltage.
