Think of the type of information you would want to know if you were a potential buyer, for example – mileage, paint and body condition, interior condition, maintenance history, repairs made, and repairs recommended. Any helpful and descriptive information that highlights and describes features and flaws. You should also include things that are and are not included in the listing, for example – accessories, owner manuals and the number of keys, etc.

What happens at the end of the auction? And how do I get paid?
The transaction for a product or vehicle won on Avid Autos is between the buyer and the seller. At the close of auction, the winning bidder and seller will receive each other’s contact information via email. If the auction is for a vehicle, we recommend the seller send the buyer a photocopy of the vehicle title as well as a bill of sale prior to the buyer sending payment. For additional security and a more positive auction outcome, we recommend that a wire transfer be the means of payment.

In addition, we recommend that photos be 2000 – 3000 pixels on the long side, which usually results in a 1 – 2 MB file size. Photos that are too small or too large might not be able to be uploaded. If accepted, more photos can be added prior to the auction going live.
If you are still having problems, please email us at mail@avidautos.com and let us know the specific problem you’re having.
Common Buyer Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register to bid on Avid Autos?
You can register for an account by going to the Home Page and then clicking on the SIGN UP icon or you can simply click here. You will receive an email asking you to verify your email address and doing so is required in order to place a bid. If you do not see the email, try checking your spam or junk folder as these emails can be labeled incorrectly as spam.
How does bidding on an online auction work?
First you find a product or vehicle you are interested in and you fully understand the content of that listing. Next, you enter the amount you would like to bid. If your bid is higher than other bids and there is still time remaining in the auction, you become the high bidder. Your bid moves the auction price higher immediately after you enter your bid amount. This amount becomes the amount you will be responsible for paying should you win the auction.
What happens after the auction and how does the payment process work?
The transaction for the winning bid amount is between the buyer and the seller. At auction close, the winning bidder and seller will receive each other’s contact information via email. If the auction is for a vehicle we recommend the seller send the buyer a photocopy of the vehicle title as well as a bill of sale prior to the buyer sending payment. For additional security and a more positive auction outcome, we recommend that a wire transfer be the means of payment.
How do I get all the listing information, or my questions answered about a listing I am interested in bidding on?
It is very important that all potential bidders read and fully understand the complete listing. Questions can be asked about the listing by using the Contact Seller button in the listing. Do not place a bid until you are comfortable with and clearly understand all the listing information. By moving forward and placing a bid on an auction, you are agreeing that you have read and fully understand the listing content. We strongly recommend that potential bidders clarify any question they have prior to placing a bid.
How does shipping work?
Shipping is most often the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise specified in the listing. Arrangements are made between the buyer and seller at the close of auction.
Can I cancel my bid?
